Service Fees

NOTE: ALL registered families must have a credit card on file prior to their first referral.

Annual Registration Fee:
An annual registration fee of $80 is required to use the referral service. This fee helps to cover the cost of time and money spent conducting and maintaining the screening and interviewing process, including criminal background checks, vehicle record checks, and verification of credential certifications.

Referral Fee:
A referral fee of $12 is required each time a Sitter is requested and confirmed. Once you submit your Sitter request via our online request form and you receive the email confirmation for your Sitter, your credit card will be charged the $12 referral fee. Your credit card will be charged as early as the day of your confirmation, but no later than the last day of the month that your referrals were made (e.g., if you have three referrals in September, your card will be charged $36 by September 30th). Once we have confirmed your Sitter via email, your card will be charged even if you cancel because all work involved in finding your Sitter has been completed at time of confirmation. The referral fee covers the time spent reviewing Sitter applications and the interview process. It also helps to cover the time spent searching our Sitter profiles to find the Sitter that is most suitable for your family and then contacting that particular Sitter to see if she is available.

Annual Registration Fee: $80
Renewed at $59 when done so during anniversary month. If renewed after anniversary month the registration fee will be $80.

Single Referral Fee: $12
Single Referral Fee with less than 48 hours' notice: $15
Single Referral Fee for Saturdays when submitted after 12pm on Wednesday of that week: $15

Referral Packages
You can also purchase referral packages for a varying number of referrals. These packages are pre-pay ONLY. Purchasing a package allows you to buy referrals at a discounted rate. When you approach the end of your referral package, you will be contacted to see if you would like to purchase an additional package. As with any request, there is no guarantee that the request can be filled. If you have a package and you request a Sitter with less than 48 hours' notice, those referrals will be charged separately to your on-file credit card. The same goes for Saturday requests made after 12pm on Wednesday of that week.

Referral Package A: $45 - 5 Referrals
Referral Package B: $130.00 - 15 Referrals
Referral Package C: $215 - 25 Referrals

*Referral fee packages have no expiration date as long as your registration is current

Saturday Sitter Requests MUST be emailed by 12pm on Wednesday of the same week. Sitter Requests that come in after 12pm on Wednesday of that week are charged at $15 and cannot be taken from a referral package (if you have a package). They are charged separately to your on-file credit card. This is also the same for requests that come in with less than 48 hours' notice. Requests made with less than 48 hours' notice are charged at $15 per referral.

Packages are the best option if you will be using our service on a more regular basis.

Cancellation Fee
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice a $10 agency cancellation fee will be charged to your on-file credit card. If you have a package and you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, it will count as a used referral.

Overnight Referrals: $15 per overnight

On-Call & Sleep Hours
On-call and sleep hours are paid at 50% of the hourly rate. When a client is out of town and in the Sitter's care but the child is at school for the day, the Sitter is paid at 50% of the hourly rate (e.g., 1-2 children would normally be $10, but $5 during "on-call" or school hours). This is done because, when a client is out of town, your Sitter must remain available during the day in the event the child becomes ill or school is closed due to inclement weather.

For overnight sitting jobs, sleep hours are from 10pm-6am and are paid at 50% of the regular hourly rate. The regular hours are paid from 6am-10pm during overnights.

Vacation Referral
$50 for the first overnight and $20 per additional overnight. This is when we find a Sitter for you to take on vacation with you and your family. Families typically pay for all of Sitters' travel expenses (air fare & hotel) in addition to a pre-negotiated rate of pay per day. In the past, some families have also provided a stipend per day for meals.

Summer Sitter Placement
A Sitter placement can be made for the months of June, July, and August as determined by the Sitter and the family. A summer placement can be filled by one Sitter or shared between two Sitters. A $50 non-refundable initial search fee is due with a Summer Sitter Placement Request and completed on-line application. For currently-registered families of While You're Out Babysitting, the initial search fee is reduced to $25. Once a Sitter is placed and hired by the family, the Summer Sitter Placement Fee of $300 is due prior to the Sitter's first day of work. All Sitter wages, responsibilities, and duties are to be negotiated between the family and Sitter.

Out-of-Town Client Holiday Referrals: $50
Holidays are: New Year's Eve and Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve and Day.

Suggested Babysitter Rates

One-Two Children: $10 per hour
Three children: $11 an hour
Four children: $12 an hour

Families are responsible for paying Sitters their hourly rate by cash or check directly upon completion of a sitting job. Be advised that there is a four-hour minimum for Friday and Saturday evenings for all jobs starting at 4pm or later. For all other times/days of the week, there is a three-hour minimum. Families do not have to use the full three or four hours, but the Sitters will still charge for the full three or four hours.

Paying Your Sitter with a Check
If you are paying your Sitter with a check, your Sitter must be able to cash the check immediately if she decides to do so. If funds are not available or the Sitter deposits the check and incurs any additional fees due to the check not clearing, arrangements must be made so the Sitter has the wages she earned in her hand within 24 hours. If the Sitter has not been paid within 24 hours, the wages that were owed to the Sitter (and any additional fees that were incurred) will be charged to the Client's on-file credit card in addition to a $30 agency service fee.

Overnight Referrals
While You're Out, LLC can also refer Sitters for overnights and extended stays, either at your home or on vacation with you. The Sitter's rate for extended stays and vacations is to be negotiated between the family and the Sitter. The suggested rate of pay for overnights is a flat rate of $50 for eight hours of sleep time and hourly after that. Our referral fee for overnight stays is $15 per night stayed in client's home. Please call our office for placement fees for our rates on vacation Sitters and extended stays.

Summer Sitter Placement

Holidays
The Sitters classify the following days as holidays and will require time-and-a-half pay for the following days:

• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day

NOTE: When you request a Sitter on any of the above holidays, the referral fee increases to $20 per request/referral. Pre-paid referrals from any package cannot be used for holiday requests. When you request a Sitter on any of the above holidays, your on-file credit card will be charged the $20 referral fee at the time of the email confirmation.

Refer a friend to While You're Out Babysitting, LLC.... If they become a registered user, you will receive a referral fee credit. For every friend that you refer who becomes a registered user of our services, you will receive a free referral.
